Product output measures approximately 50 metric tons per day. Raw produce (fruit and vegetables) is obtained from the agriculturally rich Bekaa Valley in Lebanon – the breadbasket of the ancient Romans. Since the world’s finest sesame seeds originate in Sudan and the tastiest chick peas in Turkey, Cortas imports these grains and seeds. Cortas exports 65–70 % of its output, mostly to the United States.

Product development relies on proper laboratory facilities and instruments, as well as competent personnel. It is also based on exposure to industry development, via attendance at and participation in international fairs and exhibitions, and last but not least on more than 70 years experience in fruitful endeavor towards customer satisfaction.
